Yacht Racing Events
This table of Yacht Racing Events in UK,has now been updated for 2012. It gives the Dates and Venues of the major Regattas and Racing Events as well as details of which Yacht Clubs are organising them.
There are some exciting events being organised for the coming season.
It starts with "Round the Cans" racing on the Solent or in Southampton Water beginning in March. This is probably the best way to start the season as the waters are relatively sheltered and therefore it is unlikely that races will be cancelled due to weather conditions.
It carries on with some of the well known RORC and JOG races for those who like to sail further afield.
This year is a non Fastnet race year but instead the Round Ireland Race provides some of the most enjoyable and challenging racing that I have experienced.
There are some great Yacht Racing Events again such as Round the Island Race, Cowes week, Cork Week, The Dartmouth Sailing Week and Ramsgate Week to name a few.
Now is the time to plan your Yacht Racing Events for the coming Season and to secure your favorite Yachts and Skippers.
