Racing Yachts

Racing Yachts can be chartered with or without a Skipper and Crew depending on the experience of the charterers.

In addition many charter companies offer individual places on the yacht which enables anyone from the most inexperienced sailor to participate as part of a racing crew. Often the yacht and crew are preparing for a particular event and the campaign starts beforehand with race training weekends and crew practice as a build up to the race.

An example of this is the Fastnet Race in the UK where the package offered by the yacht charterer includes a training weekend and three RORC qualifying races before participating in the main race.

There are also a large number of Yacht Racing Events where companies, often in the same industry,compete against each other using corporate yacht charter boats.
